The "Availability" section of the page includes several metrics describing the platform's availability. In this case, availability refers to the percentage of time that the platform is accessible and fully operational and is calculated by dividing the number of successful polls by the number of attempted polls. A poll is deemed unsuccessful if the platform fails validation, such as timeout being encountered, the API responds incorrectly or an HTTP response code indicating a fault condition is returned.
Current Status: This box will contain a check mark character if the platform responded properly to the last poll. If the platform was unavailable or indicated a problem, this box will contain a red X character.
7 Day: This box displays the availability of the platform as averaged over the current day and the previous 6 days. If there are not 6 days of historical data available for a platform, this average will be calculated based on the data available instead. In this case, an asterisk character will appear beside the percentage value. In this situation, placing the mouse cursor over the "7 Day" box will display a call-out indicating how many days were used in calculating this value.
28 Day: This box displays the availability of the platform as averaged over the current day and the previous 27 days. If there are not 27 days of historical data available for a platform, this average will be calculated based on the data available instead. In this case, an asterisk character will appear beside the percentage value. In this situation, placing the mouse cursor over the "28 Day" box will display a call-out indicating how many days were used in calculating this value.
Availability Graph: This graph displays the daily availability for the current day and each of the previous 27 days. Bars are colour-coded according to the legend at the bottom of the graph to provide an at-a-glance overview of availability. A completely empty bar indicates that all of the polls for a given day failed. The “No data available” bar is either due to the monitoring system being down for maintenance or the platform being newly registered.
