To use the CANARIE Platform Validator, first choose the type of validation required: "Managed" or "Self deployed". For "Managed" resources, check whether the CANAIRE monitoring protocol is supported or not. If the protocol is supported then the option to "Use base URL?" will be unavailable.
If available, select whether a base URL or separate URLs will be used; enter the appropriate URL(s) and finally click the "Submit" button. The validator will then return a table of validation results with a pass/fail status for each row.
If the platform fails validation, an explanation of the failure will be displayed in the notes field. For details on the API being validated by this platform, refer to the Research Software API Documentation.
Canadian Access Federation (CAF) single sign-on (SSO) credentials are required for Contributors to edit their entries. If your home institution does not release the required CAF SSO attributes or is not a CAF participant, it will be necessary to log in using the Guest Identity Provider (Guest IdP). For details, please refer to the document Using the CAF Guest IdP.
